Still learning heartfully.

I found a sort of enjoyment when scripting, ideation, researching angles and reference, making props, directing, and taking footages. Although I'm still amateur and using simple tools, I'm passionately learn video editing and animation. Because I believe that the best from a film is not about the expensive tools, but how does one moviemaker perfecting the storytelling. I express my thoughts, emotions, and ideas by directing the actors, props, and the set up. Several projects mention below are paid projects that I've worked on.

Science Experiment for Community Service of Analytical Chemistry Lab

As one of the trusted colleague of the lecturer at Chemistry Department UGM, I was asked to work on their annual project of Community Service where the agenda were to give a short course for science teachers and students in Bantul Region, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The video was made into two with main topic is environmental remediation technology. Due to a limited time (2 weeks) and people, I was mainly responsible as the project manager but also worked as the topic researcher, scriptwriter, director, videographer, model, props, makeup artist, and animator.

It was such a delightful time when ideating and preparing the props and sets, although we need to cramp the difficult scientific topics into less than 10-minutes video that should be understood by high school students and teacher under limited working time. After brainstorming, we used the simplest terms, language, and engaging story added by animation to help the understandability of the viewers. I was inspired by "Glad You Asked" Series YouTube Originals by Vox. So, I incorporated colorful tone for opening also mini-games and diorama for delivering concepts. Most of the video editing was done with partners, also the models and provided tools in this work. We used only Samsung phone for the gear and edited by Photoshop, PowerPoint, Lightworks, and Adobe After Effects.

Medical Waste Treatment Tutorial for Community Service

In this video, I was briefed to make short videos from scratch for socializing the health and safety culture in pandemic situation village residents. The main topic that we cater is the method to treat health mask after use, using daily chemical products and objects. I was responsible as the project manager, videographer, director, scriptwriter, and voice actor. The model and video editing was done by partners, this one also done with smartphone and Adobe After Effects.

Tutorial for Sorting Organic and Inorganic Waste for Community Service

It is a remake from initial longer video to a shorter one. I also asked to make it more informative and engaging by incorporating more graphs and required edits. In this simpler video, I was responsible for the project managing, director, actor, voice actor, and editor. This one done by smartphone and LightWorks.

Advokasi BEM KM FMIPA UGM

This video is requested by a student organization to make an introductory, profile short video. The aim is to encourage students to come consults for academic issues to the team of Advokasi. This one, I was responsible as the director and video editor, using LightWorks.
